The money is good. But of course, ok din ang benefits. Sino ba dyan ang pinakamagandang benefits? Siempre the usual na yung free coffee/medical/atbp. Pero anong call center ang may pinaka-ok na perks? Pa-share naman dyan. http://www.callcareer.com/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif To help out others make the decision which to apply

Sykes Asia, being a large multinational customer contact firm, is one of the more sophisticated companies providing equitable benefits. The benefits they afford employees are largely due to the business size and wealth of the company. The benefits i will state below include both standard and "exotic" benefits.

- Meal Allowance
- Rice Allowance
- Transportation Allowance
- Phone Allowance (for Supervisors and up)
- Technical Support Allowance (for TSRs)
- Vacation Leave credits of 20 days (earned upon 1 year of stay)
- Sick Leave credits of 20 days (earned upon regularization...i'm not sure but i know you earn 1.67 days of credit per month, therefore 20 days in a year)
- Unused VL/SL credits are converted into cash, wherein 10 is converted to cash, and the other 10 is carried over the next year. (with the VL credits, the first 10 is non-taxable.)
- compensation for Maternity Leaves (apart from the standard SSS benefit)
- Bereavement Leave
- Compensatory / In-Lieu leaves (for officers and up)
- Night Differential pay (as per Labor Law)
- Hazard Pay
- Medical Insurance coverage
- Group Life Insurance coverage
- Study Grant Options
- Bank Loan facility tie-up
- Diminishing company loan
- Tax shelters / shields
- Cars for Senior Executives
- A performance based / merit system that allows up to 20% increase per year depending on goals achieved.
- Retirement Service Benefit Package for employees who have served the company for more than 5 years.

---------------------------------------------------

Now in Etelecare, they provide the fundamental benefits but what is exciting with them is that they provide:
- higher technical allowances for TSRs,
- a compe****ve night differential pay (they have a guaranteed 5K night diff pay)
- leave credits are equally compe****ve to that of the other multinational firms.

---------------------------------------------------

In Ambergris, they do provide "fun" benefits such as:
- the Birthday leave (not a lot of companies in this industry do this)
- Communication Allowance
- word has it that they have a clothing allowance even for trainers, but this has yet to be verified.
- Ambergris must also boast of the profit and sharing scheme they provide to all employees (given a specified number of years of service)
- leave credits are progressive and earned as you stay on.

---------------------------------------------------

ClientLogic and Vision X are working on a more equitable benefits package. As Vision X controls a sales niche, agents get a considerable amount of commission-based compensation even up to 50K Php. ClientLogic provides MRTEA (a form of tax exemption allowance) to managers to accomodate a tax shelter package.

---------------------------------------------------

Hope this helps.

Hi! Sorry if i'm out the way regarding the topic. i'm just curious, i'm still thinking what's with the call center except for the benefits and packages that everyone goes "gaga" about.. don't make me wrong, i'm also in the business but i just dont get the idea. It's still the same as every office jobs right?... Just my query.. ;) ;) ;)

Why work in a call center? ...hmmm my thoughts exactly. Borrowing, Stephen Covey's 4 needs:
Addressing the Need to Learn: It aint rocket science though I learned both saranggola and rocket science in a call center at the same time. It depends which part of the business you are in however.
...Need to Live: In the strata of 25 and below with no fancy degrees, call centers will pay the highest
...Need to Belong: They get into night shift thinking that they can socialize with a homogenous clump people of the same age and interests during breaks...until they realize that they dont have a normal life...:)
....Need to feed the Spirit: This totally depends on the person. If you join a call center as an agent because solving digicam, credit card, internet access questions fulfills your destiny then so be it...:)

i came across this site that showcase call center jobs. you may want to try this.. www.wegivejobs.com

whats more is that they ask their job seekers to record their voices so even before the call center companies call the applicants for an interview, theyve already heard the voice quality. the applicant doesnt need to worry tho, as the spiel is ready and only needed to be read.

try it and see for yourself..
